The Comeback CD

Paul Ryan’s first full album was Comeback, released in February 2004 with 16 songs. Comeback is as much about the sounds of an earlier time, as it is about the artist. A time when music was an extension of the musician’s soul. It was acoustic. It told stories. The songs on the CD have been composed and performed by the artist in a style some would say have an “organic” feel to them. The songs on the CD range from a tribute to Beethoven to a true account of a gunfight in the old west.

About The Music

Musically, the songs have been described as everything from country blues to new folk to middle of the road. Truth is, Comeback contains coffeehouse music. All instrumentation is acoustic (yes, even the bass), and all songs were written and performed by the artist.
